Morning walking on the beach from late twilight to sunshine, with paper boats that float in rock pools with sails that catch the wind.

Every book starts with an idea, a spark, a moment of inspiration, and travels through many hands until it ends its journey with a child. This blog will track the journey of one book, written by James Mayhew, and illustrated by Jackie Morris.

Love your sketch of the flying bear by the way!
Hey, it's little Rosie! Oh, she is getting so big! Lovely photo's, and I adore the paper boat!
Great info about the stuff you use - and lovely pics too! I know what you mean about beautiful china. I ahve quite a 'thing' for it too, I have a vintage Sooty mug and some old Bunnykins plates, most excellent! Also, doesn't a cup of tea or coffee taste much nicer if it's made in a nice mug or teacup?
