Zeitgeist

There must be something in the water!
Today I had an email from Joanne Kaar about paperboats. Browsing through her blog and website I find someone else obsessed with paper boats. Her handmade paper and books are beautiful and I love the way she places them on the beach and among the rocks. They are so organic.
Have a look.

Yummm, thanks for the link, Jackie. What an intriguing project, for a great cause! And nice that she's soliciting contributions of paperboats from around the world in addition to making her own lovely boats.

I love the hair on the mermaids. It looks seaweedy.

Thankyou for the links to that lovely boat story.Long ago, I found an old glass bottle, worn and opaque from its journey. Inside, no message but a pretty button which I kept for years.I still wonder whose it was.

I have been enjoying your blog, and the blog of the ginger cats for a few weeks now. You have created some beautiful spaces to which I retreat often during the day to dream and refresh. And those gingers are really soemthing special! I have told my two lads (Scooter and Angus) about your cats and they are jealous that they cannot wander the hills (city cats-trapped indoors, but loved very much). You are very lucky to live the life you have, in such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your joys and struggles. And all the best on your books--they are really wonderful!
